"Respect and Gratitude" Book from you to your Parents

What our parents need so badly as they grow older is the companionship of younger adults. Not constantly, but at least every now and again. It keeps them feeling young, keeps their minds alive and their intellects stimulated. Children should not only discuss the ‘necessary’ things such as family events but also issues in other areas, their opinions on world matters, the current news, etc. for instance. We should start thinking of them as human beings longing for love and affection from the younger generation and to respond to their every need. They feel the need for their experience to be respected, if not accepted. They long for support and do not want to be steered by their own children in the winter of their lives.
In short, the key to respecting our elders lies not in ‘serving’ them, but in relating to them with dignity as individuals, as companions and as one adult to another. Remember how you envied some people whose parents were their friends?

Now is the time you can make this happen in your home too. You can Present your Parents a “Respect and Gratitude Book” thanking them for what their support in your growth and present day position in life.

If interested you can get in touch with R. Raghunathan for designing a Book for you and from you to your Parents.
